Here is another tank that I have. It is a 10 gallon tank. This is my algae tank. This algae has been around for a few years, but I did have to move it into another tank because the original tank, which was 5 gallons, broke. That was a mess to deal with.
I do put algae in both the pleco tank and the goldfish tank. All three of them love having algae once in a while.
I also keep a bubbler in there, to stir up the water. All I do is keep in a window and add water to it every time I do water changes. It is great thing to have.
Also, having algae on your fish tanks is really good. It might make it look dirty or bad, but it is good for the bacteria.
When I do water changes, I usually scrub off some of the algae in both tanks, I try to leave part of it. With both fish tanks, I do water changes once a week.
